The rainy season of Zihuatanejo is from June to October. The heaviest rains fall in September, increasing humidity, along with the heat index. The driest months of the year are from November to May, when rainfall is low and humidity is at its lowest level. Nights are cool and can be quite windy, especially in areas near the beach.

No matter what time of year you travel in, we suggest you to pack sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat or a cap, sunglasses, clothing made of natural fibers, and comfortable shoes. If you travel between June and October, remember to pack a folding umbrella or a rain jacket.
